The person behind the practice

I’m David Bartas.

Founder, architect and developer. I work across product strategy, AI and the systems that connect them.

My banking experience includes senior analysis on George Business and lead analysis on BankID onboarding at MONETA.

I’m the founder and architect of Investboard, a portfolio platform built around an investor’s own mandate, holdings and decision history. It brings together the product, data and architecture questions I work through with consulting clients.

I also run InvestingStack, where I research AI systems, document their capabilities and limitations, and publish work others can inspect and reproduce.

Through Bartas Consulting, I bring that practical perspective to your business: framing the problem, comparing the options and connecting a strategic choice to the work needed to deliver it. Every engagement is led by me directly.

How I work

Clear reasoning. Useful outputs. Personal ownership.

Start with the decision

Understand the business goal, constraints and people involved before choosing a technology or drawing a roadmap.

Make the trade-offs visible

Compare realistic options. Record assumptions, dependencies and risks so the team can understand why a direction was chosen.

Leave something usable

Shape the work around a practical output: a prioritised roadmap, a system map, a review or a clear next step.

A clear place to start

Your next decision.
Let’s work it through.

Strategy session

Work through the options and build a practical plan.

  • Map options, dependencies and risks
  • Agree priorities and an actionable plan
Book 90 minutes

Choose a session, select an available time and add a few lines about your question. Google sends the confirmation and meeting details. These are the same booking pages used by InvestingStack.

Have a larger engagement in mind? Email your brief to discuss the scope. Reviews, workshops and delivery support are quoted separately.

A little preparation

Before you book.

Start with the question that matters most. A clear goal helps us make the time useful.

Which session should I choose?

Choose the 30-minute introduction to frame a question, discuss fit and identify the next step. Choose the 90-minute strategy session when you have a defined challenge and want to compare options, dependencies and priorities in more depth.

What should I prepare?

Bring one decision you need to make, the outcome you want and the main constraints: timing, budget, systems or team capacity. Add a short summary in the booking form. A roadmap, system diagram or product brief can help give the conversation context.

How do time zones and availability work?

Sessions are available Monday–Friday, 18:00–21:00 in Europe/Berlin, with at least 48 hours’ notice. Google shows available times in your local time zone and sends the confirmation and Google Meet details. Both websites use the same calendar, so a slot booked through InvestingStack is unavailable here too.

Can we work together beyond a consultation?

Yes. Architecture reviews, product and AI workshops, and delivery support can be scoped separately. Email a short brief with your goal, current situation, timing and the help you need. The next step is to agree the scope and fee.
